Missouri Tigers Vs. Kansas Jayhawks: Border War Will See Jordan Webb At QB

The Missouri Tigers and Kansas Jayhawks will meet this weekend at Arrowhead Stadium for the 2010 edition of the Border War. The Tigers, 9-2, are heavily favored to beat the KU football team for a second consecutive year. Mizzou won the 2009 Border War, 41-39.

Missouri has won three of the last four against Kansas in the Border War and this one may mean something for Missouri. They're already bowl-eligible but they're hoping to get into the Big 12 Championship game. The Nebraska Cornhuskers will host the Colorado Buffaloes this weekend and a Nebraska loss plus a Mizzou win would put the Tigers in the Big 12 Championship game and a shot at a BCS game.

Kansas enters the game with a familiar face at QB -- Jordan Webb. Turner Gill announced on Tuesday that it would be Webb who would get the call at QB this week. Third string QB Quinn Mecham had been starting with Webb suffering from a shoulder injury. Now that Webb is fully healthy, he's the man.

The Tigers really should take care of business in this game as Kansas' offense has been non-existent in recent weeks. Save the comeback against Colorado, Kansas' offense has been pretty underwhelming. Missouri has much more at stake and they're simply the better team.

But that hasn't stopped KU from winning this thing in the past. Missouri leads the all-time series 55-54-9 so a Jayhawks victory would tie them up once again.
