2010 NBA Draft: Cole Aldrich's Mom's Prediction Before Attending Kansas Was Correct
Phil Miller of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune has a good feature on the life and times of none other than Cole Aldrich. One passage in the story shows that the mother of Cole Aldrich correctly predicted her son's future.
“Walt,” Kathy Aldrich recalls telling her husband [after Aldrich committed to Kansas], “we’re gonna be rich.”
Indeed. It's not like it's the world's wackiest prediction (I think most others predicted the same) but still a cool story that shows the pressure that's on an 18-year old kid.
Aldrich will be drafted on Thursday night -- most likely as a lottery pick -- and sign a contract that guarantees him in the neighborhood of $4 million.
