2010 NBA Draft: Grizzlies Snag Xavier Henry Right After Cole Aldrich

Stay connected for news and updates

After being shut out of the draft last year, the Kansas Jayhawks have had two consecutive players drafted Cole Aldrich went 11th and now Xavier Henry has gone 12th to the Memphis Grizzlies.

In the end, it's Aldrich that won the battle of the Jayhawks.

Per SBNation.com, the Grizzlies backcourt is looking better with Henry in the fold.

Henry has a smooth shooting stroke, putting in over 40% of his three-point attempts for the Jayhawks in his freshman season, and a strong, NBA-ready body, particularly for such a young player. Along with O.J. Mayo, Henry should give the Grizzlies a very promising backcourt for the future.
