Bill Self Knew Where Cole Aldrich, Xavier Henry Would Be Drafted

Stay connected for news and updates

If you want someone to help you out with a mock draft in the days leading up to the draft, Bill Self may not be a bad person to help you with that.

As it turns out, Self had a pretty good idea where each of the two Kansas lottery players were going, according to the Kansas City Star.

In the days leading up to the draft, Self received word that Oklahoma City Thunder general manager Sam Presti was considering making a play to move up and draft former KU center Cole Aldrich, pairing him with former Texas forward Kevin Durant, one of the top young players in the NBA. And on Monday, Self traveled to Memphis to visit in person with Grizzlies brass and learned that former KU shooting guard Xavier Henry was high on their board.

Someone needs to check Bill Self's flight path the week of the draft.
