Rick Ankiel Takes The Field After David DeJesus Injury In Royals, Yankees Game
The timing for bringing back Rick Ankiel was good for the Royals. Ankiel returned from the disabled list hours before the Royals and Yankees kicked things off on Thursday night.
By the third inning, DeJesus was injured and Ankiel was entering the game in center field.
Ankiel hasn't seen the field since April 24.
Consider it good timing the Royals traded Alberto Callaspo and activated Ankiel.
