Chicago Bears Scout Running Danario Alexander Workout

Former Mizzou WR Danario Alexander is working out for NFL teams next week after rehabbing from another knee surgery. Alexander has incredible numbers in the 2009 season at Mizzou but his third knee surgery made every team shy away in the draft.

Alexander's reportedly drawn the eye of the Rams, who might plan to bring him in for a workout.

It's also important to note that a Bears scout is running the workout.

On July 8, former BYU RB Harvey Unga held a workout for NFL teams. The workout was run by a Bears scout and Chicago later selected him in the supplemental draft.

With the Bears involved in Alexander's workout, could they select him?

On the surface, it makes sense. The Bears need to provide Jay Cutler with the tools necessary to succeed and someone like Alexander would be a low-risk, high-reward type of signing.

If he can stay healthy, he can truly be a force in the NFL. The problem is, of course, he hasn't demonstrated he can stay healthy for long.
