Royals Tie Worst Loss In Franchise History

You'd have to go back to 2000 to find a game like this. That year they were 21-3 losers in one game.

On Monday night, they matched that losing 19-1 to the Twins.

It would've been a shutout if not for the ninth inning hot (!) bat of Wilson Betemit.

I'm not going to write much more about this game. It's time to move on from this.

Zack Greinke Takes The Mound Against Twins In Series Opener

Zack Greinke takes the mound tonight against the Twins in series opener of a three-game set. The Royals have issued their line up and, as Will at Royals Review said, "I keep thinking I've seen the weirdest Royal lineup yet, and then..."

  1. DH Scott Podsednik
  2. C Jason Kendall
  3. 1B Billy Butler
  4. RF Jose Guillen
  5. 3B Wilson Betemit
  6. 2B Mike Aviles
  7. LF Alex Gordon
  8. CF Willie Bloomquist
  9. SS Yuniesky Betancourt

Where's Rick Ankiel? I figured the Royals would want to get him out there as much as possible with the MLB trade deadline coming.

Also, it seems as if the Royals forgot to put David DeJesus in the lineup. Oh, wait...

The game starts at 7:10 p.m. (CT) this evening.
