Stay connected for news and updates

The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Saturday that LB Cameron Sheffield has been released from the hospital after suffering a neck injury in Friday night's game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Here's the two sentence release from the Chiefs:

The Kansas City Chiefs confirmed on Saturday that LB Cameron Sheffield has been released from the hospital. Sheffield has movement in all of his extremities after suffering a neck injury in Friday’s game vs. Philadelphia.

This is very positive.

Last week the Chiefs saw Maurice Leggett go to the ground in a similar situation. He was back watching practice this week so that's two weeks in a row they've received good news after a serious injury.
