Original Story

NFL Roster Cuts: Kansas City Chiefs Release Four Players

The Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday announced the release of four players: T/G Tyler Eastman, RB Kestahn Moore, TE Cody Slate and QB Bill Stull.

Eastman: He was a reserve signed in the offseason as an undrafted free agent. He was never a threat to make the roster.

Moore: He had a decent training camp but didn't play much the first preseason game. Unfortunately, he was injured for the second game and didn't log any stats in the third game. That's bad timing more than anything else for him.

Slate: He was signed on June 4 when Brad Cottam and Tony Moeaki were out with injury. He was thought to be a training camp body and, as it turns out, was.

Stull: He was signed nearly two weeks ago when Brodie Croyle was injured. Frankly, he looked better than Tyler Palko at times during training camp but never saw action in the last two preseason games.

That's four offensive players that they've release. By Tuesday, Aug. 31, they'll need to release one more to get down to 75 players.

On Sept. 4, they'll need to get down to 53 players.

Keep in mind some of these players that are released could return soon on the practice squad.
