Ned Yost on Tejeda's return:
"Tejeda threw the ball really well (Saturday in a simulated inning)," manager Ned Yost said. "We were debating whether to send him out on a rehab (assignment) or just activate him. He’s ready to go, so what’s the difference?"
Tejeda had a strained tendon at the end of July.
Tejeda on his return:
"I’m not going to say I’m going to be able to go out there and just throw 96 or 98 (mph) on every pitch like before," Tejeda said. "But I feel I’m got some power."
