NFL Power Rankings: Kansas City Chiefs Ranks Low On WEEI Because of 'Nightmare Season'

Stay connected for news and updates

Joe Zarbano is the latest to take a look at the NFL and give his Power Rankings over at WEEI, and it’s clear he doesn’t think highly of the Chiefs season. Then again, that’s not a surprise to anyone at this point. In fact, he describes the Kansas City Chiefs 2011 campaign as a “nightmare season” and it’s not that far off from even an optimist’s point of view. Horrific losses, mounting injuries and a diffcult schedule make this year very frustrating for Chiefs fans.

“It’s been a nightmare season for the Chiefs,” he writes. “The injury to Matt Cassel was the final straw. Tyler Palko didn’t make a strong case that he should be the starter going forward. It wouldn’t be surprising if we saw fifth-round draft pick Ricky Stanzi get some action behind center. With six games remaining, no team has a more difficult schedule ahead than the Chiefs. All six opponents have a winning percentage of .500 or better.”
