Denver Broncos Injury Report, Week 17: Brian Dawkins Status Questionable For Sunday

Stay connected for news and updates

Denver safety Brian Dawkins missed practice again on Thursday because of a neck injury. The injury to Dawkins has the Broncos' secondary unsettled headed into Sunday's game. Coach John Fox said that if Dawkins couldn't go then either David Bruton or Rahim Moore would start at Safety. Bruton practiced on Thursday but was limited with a sore Achilles.

Denver's Champ Bailey said that losing Dawkins would be a huge loss for the Broncos if he is unable to play.

"We definitely miss him and I'm not going to shy away from saying that," Bailey said of Dawkins. "I know this is a next-man-up business, but you can't replace a guy like that. His intensity and leadership, there's not a guy on the roster that can replace that.
