Kansas-area colleges were well represented in a countdown of the 100 best college football games of the 2011 season, which were compiled and ranked by SB Nation's Bill Connelly.

The Kansas Jayhawks, the Kansas State Wildcats and the Missouri Tigers were all represented and the countdown included games such as:

• No. 93: Kansas' 45-42 win over Northern Illinois on Sept. 10
• No. 80: Kansas State's 28-24 win over Miami on Sept. 24
• No. 65: Missouri's 38-31 win over Texas A&M on Oct. 29
• No. 43: Kansas' 24-66 loss to Georgia Tech on Sept. 17
• No. 37: Missouri's 30-37 loss to Arizona State on Sept. 9
• No. 19: Kansas State's 53-50 win over Texas A&M on Nov. 12
• No. 6: Kansas State's 36-35 win over Baylor on Oct. 1
• No. 5: Kansas State's 45-52 loss to Oklahoma State on Nov. 5
