College Basketball Rankings: Missouri, Kansas Ranked In Top Five

MIssouri moves into the No. 2 spot in both polls with Kansas taking the No. 5 spot and Kansas State is ranked in both polls.

Jan 23, 2012 - The Missouri Tigers moved up from No. 5 in both polls to make the jump to No. 2 in both the USA Today and coaches poll and received a pair of first place votes in the AP poll. This pat week Missouri defeated then-No. 3 Baylor Bears and the Texas A&M Aggies to move up in the polls.

The Kansas Jayhawks also moved up in both polls to No. 5 in the AP and coaches polls after going 2-0 while beating Baylor and the Texas Longhorns. What helped Kansas and Missouri to move up due to Syracuse, Baylor and Duke dropping games last week.

The Kansas St. Wildcats moved into the coaches poll at No. 24 and then moved up two spots in the AP poll from No. 25 to No. 23 after beating Texas and the Oklahoma St. Cowboys.
