Missouri is off to its best start in 30 years under new coach Frank Haith and will open Big 12 play Tuesday night against Oklahoma.
The Missouri Tigers are off to their best start in 30 years and successfully completed the non-conference portion of their schedule at 13-0. The Tigers will open Big12 play on Tuesday when they host Oklahoma.
Missouri is led by senior guard Marcus Denmon who is averaging 18.7 points per game which is third in the Big 12. Denmon there are many challenges that await the Tigers in conference play.
"We're really happy with 13 wins heading into conference play, but we understand that none of those wins matter," said Denmon, who ranks third in the conference with an average of 18.7 points.
Oklahoma comes into the game with a 10-2 record having only lost to Saint Louis and Cincinnati. The Sooners are led by junior guard Steven Pledger who is second in the conference in scoring at 18.8 per game.
