With five races left, Clint Bowyer feels that anything can happen the rest of the way in the Chase for the Cup.

Clint Bowyer is currently sitting in fourth place of the Sprint Cup standings, and is 28 points behind the leader with five races to go. He acknowledges that this is not in the best situation to be in if a title is to be won, but Bowyer feels that he is not out of it.

Kansas Motor Speedway has a new surface, so Bowyer is calling this a "wild card race:"

"This is going to be a wild-card race. Just like I said, track position and playing your cards right - no tires, fuel only, two tires, four tires, when to do that, how to set yourself up for the end if it comes down to fuel mileage or whatever it comes down to.

The new surface will allow for some interesting races as drivers and crews figure out the best combination to get an optimal performance this weekend.

Bowyer also is confident heading into Sunday's Hollywood Casino 400, since he is fresh of a win last week at Charlotte. What Bowyer needs is to have another solid performance, and then have Jimmie Johnson, Denny Hamlin and Brad Keselowski stumble this weekend. If that happens, then Bowyer could have a chance to win the Sprint Cup.
