Chiefs injury report: Branden Albert, Ryan Lilja out of practice

John Rieger-US PRESSWIRE

Branden Albert and Ryan Lilja have yet to practice this week, which is a major concern for the Kansas City Chiefs heading into Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos.

The Kansas City Chiefs will release their full injury report on Friday afternoon, but some injury concerns exist following Thursday's practice.

Left tackle Branden Albert and center Ryan Lilja did not practice on Thanksgiving, and neither have practiced all week. This is a major concern for the Chiefs, as both lineman are starters, and Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller is one of the top pass rushers in the league.

Player who do not practice during the week normally do not play on Sunday. When asked if Lilja and Albert absolutely needed to practice on Friday, head coach Romeo Crennel responded with:

"We can say drop dead, but we'd like to see them practice tomorrow. Generally with veterans, I give them a little bit more leeway, particularly if they're important veterans. They know what it takes. They know what they're bodies are telling them, and generally they are pretty up front about where they are and what they think they can do. I'll give them as much time as I can before making a decision."

Jon Asamoah, Steve Maneri and Tony Moeaki all participated in practice on a limited basis Thursday. Asomoah missed last week's game against the Cincinnati Bengals, while Moeaki suffered an injury during the game.

Wide receiver Jonathan Baldwin and Dwayne Bowe both participated fully in practice on Thursday after being limited on Wednesday. Both players appear ready for Sunday's game.
