US PRESSWIRE
The UCF Knights and the Tulsa Golden Hurricane face off in the Conference USA title game.
The Central Florida Knights and the Tulsa Golden Hurricane will meet on Saturday for the Conference USA Championship game. This will be the third time the two teams have played each other in the title game: Tulsa won in 2005 (the inaugural C-USA title game) and UCF in 2007.
UCF and Tulsa are the only two teams in C-USA to earn four berths to the title game. The two teams met earlier this year, with Tulsa emerging as the winner, 23-21.
Tulsa out-gained UCF, 461 yards to 235 yards, in their previous matchup. The Knights' defense has played well overall this season, allowing 21.6 points per game.
The Golden Hurricane will lean heavily on their rushing attack Saturday. Tulsa averages 236.1 yards per game on the ground, the 12th-most rushing yards in the country. Running backs Ja'Terian Douglas and Trey Watts have both carried the ball more than 120 times this season, and each runner averages more than 6 yards per carry.
Game Time: Saturday, Dec. 1; 11 a.m CT
Location: Chapman Stadium; Tulsa, Okla.
TV: ESPN2
Odds: Tulsa -1
