Alabama and Georgia will face off in the SEC Championship game on Saturday with a possible berth in the National Championship on the line.

A spot in the BCS National Championship Game will likely be on the line as the Alabama Crimson Tide faces the Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC Championship Game on Saturday. It will pit the No. 2 and No. 3 teams in the nation against each other.

Neither team was able to hold an undefeated record going into the championship, with Alabama dropping a game to Johnny Manziel and the Texas A&M Aggies and Georgia falling to South Carolina. It will be a battle between Georgia's high-flying offense, which has put up a school record 456 points so far this season, and the always stifling Alabama defense, which has not given up more than 29 points in a game and has pitched four shutouts. That 29-point performance was in the loss to the Aggies.

Game time, TV channel: 3 p.m. CT, CBS

Point spread: Alabama favored by 8 points.
