Kansas Football Has Second Toughest 2012 Schedule With 9 Opponents In Bowl Games Last Season

Stay connected for news and updates

As Phil Steele does the legwork on putting together opponent's winning percentage for every Division I college football team, the news is not good for Charlie Weis in his first season on the job. That's because the Kansas Jayhawks are going to have a rough go of it in 2012 by facing 9 opponents next season who played in a bowl game. Simply put, Texas A&M is the only team with a worst percentage.

This is, of course, not an exact science. Teams graduate some players while others move on. No team will be at the exact same strength as they were last season. However it's a way to begin to understand who has an easier path than others, and the Kansas Jayhawks have it worse. Even just taking the Big 12 conference games they will play, KU will have a hard enough time. You can find the complete schedule below:

9/1 South Dakota State

9/8 Rice

9/15 TCU

9/22 @ Northern Illinois

10/6 @ Kansas State

10/13 Oklahoma St

10/20 @ Oklahoma

10/27 Texas

11/3 @ Baylor

11/10 @ Texas Tech

11/17 Iowa St

12/1 @ West Virginia
