Oklahoma City Thunder Receive Reality Check From Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavaliers pulled off a minor upset last night as they snapped the Oklahoma City Thunder's 14 game home winning streak in their 96-90 win. Not only did it help signal the legitimacy of the Cavaliers with their new leader Kyrie Irving, but it also caused the Thunder to take a step back and analyze what went wrong.

MVP candidate Kevin Durant scored 23 points, but he said he realizes what he should have done last night to be more effective on the floor.

"I know I got to be more aggressive to score the ball," said Durant after the game. "I know tonight I was trying to force the pass a little too much. We played good defense, we made them miss shots. We just got to execute a little more, rebound the ball. We'll be alright."

In addition, Serge Ibaka didn't really play in the fourth quarter and as a Defensive Player of the Year candidate, it was an odd choice by head coach Scotty Brooks.

"We've had some success playing Serge at the 5 and going small," he said. "But for most part for the year, we've had a lot of success with [Kendrick Perkins] at the 5. I chose that matchup. Did it work? Looking back on it, I don't think it bothered us as much as it looks but I'll find out when I look at the film. Serge had a good game, Perk was playing good. It's one of those decisions I made."

Either way, they don't have long to figure it out since they play the Charlotte Bobcats tonight.
