Masters Leaderboard: Tom Watson Will Miss Weekend Cut, But Former Kansas Golfer Gary Woodland Will Play On

Two-time Masters champion Tom Watson shot a two-over-par 74 in the second round of The Masters on Friday for a two-round total of 151, which will not be good enough to escape the weekend cutline for the Kansas City native, winner of eight major golf championships in his illustrious pro career.

While Watson will not be playing into the weekend, former Kansas Jayhawk golfer Gary Woodland of Topeka posted an 18-hole score of two under 70 on Friday for an overall score of one-under 143, leaving him four shots back of the co-leaders, Jason Dufner and 52-year-old Fred Couples, winner of the 1992 Masters. Woodland had five birdies and three bogeys in his Friday round.

Watson was making his 38th consecutive Master's appearance, dating back to 1977 . Gary Player holds the all-time record for the most Masters appearances with 52. Player first played in The Masters in 1957 and played for the final time in 2009.

The final two rounds of the 2012 Masters, the first of the year's major championships, will be played Saturday and Sunday.
