Players Championship 2012 Leaderboard: Martin Laird Is Still Ahead

Stay connected for news and updates

Martin Laird is still atop the Players Championship leaderboard on Friday in second round action of the tournament. Laird is 10-under par through 15 holes, while going 3-under for the day so far. Zach Johnson is two strokes out of the lead after going 6-under through 15 holes on Friday. That puts him at 8-under for the tournament, in second place.

Three golfers have the third-best score of 7-under: Jonathan Byrd, Adam Scott and Ian Poulter. Charlie Wi was among that group before he bogeyed on 18. Wi still had an impressive day, shooting five under.

As for the local guys, Chez Reavie is tied for 108th with a 3-over par score. On the bright side, he's doing about as well as Rory McIlroy, so all is not lost here.
