2012 Players Championship Winner: Matt Kuchar Hangs On For Tournament Win

Matt Kuchar captures the biggest win of his career with a two shot win in the 2012 edition of The Players Championship.

Kuchar finished with a 2-under, 70 in his final round to get to 13-under and finish two shots better than a foursome of players at 11-under. Kuchar recorded a birdie and 16 to get to 14-under but gave back a stroke on No. 17 after three-putting. However, Kuchar was near perfect on 18 and captured the tournament win.

Martin Laird, Rickie Fowler, Ben Curtis and Zach Johnson all tied for second place at 11-under. Laird finished at 5-under on Sunday while Johnson and Curtis each finished at 4-under. Fowler made a late charge with birdies on two of the last three holes.
