Sunday's Aaron's 499 at Talladega superspeedway is likely to have its start delayed after early morning storms blanketed the track. SB Nation's Jeff Gluck thinks there is no way that the race will be able to start on time due to the length of the track and the time it takes to dry it.
If it takes 2 1/2 hours to dry track, there's NO chance the race will start on time unless the rain stops soon, which is not happening.

The storms are reportedly weakening and NASCAR is expected to start updating drivers around 11 a.m. local time on whether or not there will be a delay. The race doesn't appear to be in danger but a delay at the start is looking more and more likely.
