The 2012 season has been a struggle thus far for Carl Edwards but he will start on the outside of the front row for Sunday's race at Pocono. Edwards will start alongside Joey Logano who set a track record of 179.598 mph during qualifying.
The track's reconfigured racing surface led to much high speeds during qualifying. The top 36 qualifiers all broke the previous track record during qualifying. Logano and Edwards are joined in the top five by Paul Menard, Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin. Points leader Greg Biffle will start back in the 13th position.
