2012 London Olympics: Ratings For Opening Ceremonies Up 7 Percent From Beijing

Stay connected for news and updates

The 2012 Summer Olympics in London held their official opening last nihgt, and the Opening Ceremonies were rife with Danny Boyle style drama and Paul McCartney's melodic charm that has persisted over the last several decades. Both were big winners on Friday night as the overnight ratings are in for NBC and their broadcast of the ceremonies that lasted for a few hours as the Parade of Nations and several entertaining montages played out.

The 2012 London Olympics unofficially began with women's soccer in recent days but today's action should bring a full slate of continued action for those intrigued last night. It looks positive for NBC and their ability to draw viewers into games.
