Serena Williams Arguably Becomes Best Women's Tennis Player Of All Time With 5th Wimbledon Title

Serena Williams took control early. Then she gave it up. But the gritty determination and experience of success in the past gave Williams the leg up as she headed into the third and final set against Agnieszka Radwanska in the 2012 Wimbledon's Women's Singles Final. She ended up winning the final set for an overall 6-1, 5-7, 6-2 victory.

Williams took the first set 6-1. Radwanska came back and won the second set 7-5 after being down early to Williams. Radwanska had never advances past the quarterfinals in six previous appearances at Wimbledon. This is, in fact, her first finals appearance in any Grand Slam event.

Serena was immediately being hailed as the best women's tennis player of the last 20 years and potentially of all time after the win. She's won five Wimbledon titles to this point in 2002, 2003, 2009, 2010 and now this year. She's won 3 U.S. Open titles, 2 French Open titles and 5 Australian Open titles. In short, she's a complete player for the last decade who is still able to defeat the best in the world after several years on the tour.
