Carl Edwards and Clint Bowyer are two local drivers looking for NASCAR glory tonight in the Coke Zero 400 running tonight at Daytona. Unfortunately, neither driver ran well enough during qualifying to make the top ten. Nevertheless, Edwards will be racing from the No. 12 position and holds the best chances tonight while Bowyer will try to do something from No. 29.
Matt Kenseth has the pole position heading into tonight's race, which takes off at 6:41 Central Time. NASCAR returns to Daytona on Saturday night, for the Coke Zero 400.
Tony Stewart came back from the second to last spot in the pack when starting the race to win in the end with a very impressive performance that took advantage of a caution flag and avoided calamity to beat out Matt Kenseth and Greg Biffle for his third win of the 2012 NASCAR racing season. It appears that Stewart is likely on his way to matching last season's five win total with another great year of his own.
It also sounds like NASCAR is also enjoying 2012 on the whole.
