Fantasy Football 2012: Peyton Hillis Is Great Sleeper Candidate

As fantasy football drafts start to get underway and the attention turns to possible steals and sleepers for the upcoming season, the Kansas City Chiefs roster is filled with several candidates. There are dynamic returns awaiting those who take a gamble on returnees from injury like Jamaal Charles or Tony Moeaki and new faces in place like Peyton Hillis and Kevin Boss. Hillis in particular is interesting and should be a potential sleeper on most lists.

ESPN's Christopher Harris writes, "I had Hillis in my "bust" category last year, but now the needle has gone too far the other way. Jamaal Charles is coming off a torn ACL and was never a full-time back anyway, and Hillis is only 26. I make him, at minimum, a terrific flex option, with the possibility that he becomes an early-down workhorse in KC, a la Thomas Jones."

Hillis enjoyed an 1,177 yard season under his only season with Brian Daboll as offensive coordinator with the Browns. Perhaps another return to form could signal a major fantasy sleeper for 2012.
