Chiefs Training Camp: Branden Albert Has Measured Approach In Preseason

The Kansas City Chiefs aren't exactly the most open team to the media in the NFL. While the Miami Dolphins have opened themselves to HBO's Hard Knocks series or the New York Jets continue to allow the circus known as, well, the New York Jets, the Chiefs are a measured, controlled group from the top down. The players fall right in line with the front office and coaching staff, so it's not surprising to see Branden Albert toeing the company line.

In some recent remarks from Chiefs training camp in St. Joseph, Missouri, Albert took some time to answer quick questions from reporters.

On whether the team was better after the first preseason game:

"We did a good job. There is a lot of room for improvement. We've got a long season ahead, so we take whatever we did in the game and improve on it to keep moving on."

On whether it was a coaching emphasis for a team to perform well in game one:

"You always want to have a good performance in practice or in a game, no matter what the situation is. You always want to perform well. We did well and that game is behind us. We have a new game ahead of us and the season ahead of us."

On whether Daboll's offense is catching on:

"We do a good job everyday of learning the system. Coach Daboll is doing a good job and the coaches under him are doing a good job of teaching the system and teaching the technique. We are just working hard."
