Royals Vs. White Sox: Kansas City Continues Weekend Series With ChiSox

Stay connected for news and updates

The Kansas City Royals host the Chicago White Sox Saturday at Kauffman Stadium in the second game of their weekend series.

Kansas City defeated the AL Central-leading White Sox, 4-2, on Friday, marking the third win in the past four games for the Royals.

Royals left-hander Bruce Chen (8-10, 5.56 ERA) hopes to continue that winning trend and build off his last start against Chicago. He is 1-1 against the White Sox this season, earning a win against them Aug. 7 when he allowed two runs in 6 2/3 innings.

The White Sox have Jake Peavy (9-8, 3.04 ERA) slated to start. Peavy has struggled against the Royals this season, taking the loss in the game against Chen earlier this month and also allowing six runs in Kansas City July 14 in a losing effort.

The game is scheduled to start at 6:10 p.m. CT and will be televised on Fox Sports KC.
