The Missouri women's soccer team scored three second-half goals en route to a 3-2 victory over the California Golden Bears in non-conference play Sunday in Berkeley, Calif.
The Tigers, ranked No. 10 in the nation after the win, improved to 3-0 on the year, while the Bears, ranked No. 15 before the loss, fell to 2-2.
Senior forward Taiwo Adeshigbin, senior midfielder Haley Krentz and sophomore midfielder Abi Raymer scored for the Tigers, who have now outscored their opponents 10-3 on the season, with seven of those goals coming in the second half. Against Cal, Missouri overcame a 1-0 deficit early in the first half.
Cal was the second ranked team the Tigers have defeated this season. They topped No. 11-ranked Memphis, 5-1, in the season opener.
The Tigers are back in Columbia for a pair of games this weekend, taking on Arizona State Aug. 31 and Tennessee Tech on Sept. 2.
