Spain jumped out to a 20-2 lead to begin the Group B matchup with Russia at the 2012 London Olympics on Saturday and went into the second quarter with a 28-11 lead, but the Russians fought back valiantly in the second and third quarters outscoring the Spaniards 21-12 and 24-13 respectively and ultimately coming away with a three-point victory, 77-74.

Los Angeles Lakers star Pau Gasol had 20 points and grabbed five rebounds while his brother, Marc Gasol, an All-Star center for the Memphis Grizzlies scored 10 points and grabbed nine rebounds, but it wasn't enough to hold off Russia.

Oklahoma City Thunder big man, Serge Ibaka, barely saw any action in the contest as he played just nine minutes and scored two points and grabbed three rebounds in the loss.
