Seven Big 12 Schools Ranked In Top 25 In Cross Country Preseason Poll

Seven Big 12 cross country teams are ranked in the top 25 nationally in the preseason poll issued by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

The Oklahoma State men’s team is ranked second in the country to start the season, the same position in which the Cowboys finished in last season’s final poll. The Oklahoma men are fourth in the preseason rankings and Texas is sixth.

On the women’s side, Iowa State is the highest Big 12 team in the preseason rankings at No. 5. West Virginia is ranked 21st, Oklahoma State 24th and Texas is at No. 25.

The Iowa State women finished seventh in last year’s NCAA Championships.
