Fresno State Vs. Tulsa 2012 Final Score: Golden Hurricanes Hold On For 27-26 Win

The Tulsa Golden Hurricanes scored ten unanswered points in the second half Saturday night, beating Fresno State 27-26 at Chapman Stadium in Tulsa, OK.

The Hurricanes trailed the Bulldogs 20-7 at the end of the first quarter before scoring ten points in the second quarter to take a 20-17 deficit into halftime.

Fresno State would score just under three minutes into the second half, when Cody Green threw his second pick-six of the game. Tulsa would respond, however, with a Daniel Schwarz field goal and Trey Watts touchdown pass to take the lead late in the third quarter.

The key to the win would ultimately happen on the extra point attempt following a Tristan Okpalaugo interception return, as Quentin Breshears' extra point try was blocked.

The Hurricanes used strong defense in the second half to get the win, taking advantage of several short fields in the third quarter to take the lead and then holding strong through the fourth quarter.

Tulsa quarterback Cody Green was 13-of-37 for 202 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions on the night, while Alex Singleton led the Tulsa rushing attack with 56 yards on 18 carries.

Tulsa (3-1) heads to UAB for next week's game, with kickoff set for 2 p.m. CT.
