The No. 5 Oklahoma Sooners enjoyed a bit of an easier victory in the second game of the season, easily handling Florida A&M on Saturday night in a 69-13 victory.
The Sooners would open the game with two scores in the first quarter, and they took a 35-10 lead into halftime, a far cry from their struggles against UTEP in the first game of the season.
Oklahoma would dominate the Rattlers on both sides of the ball, putting up 662 yards of total offense in the game, compared to just 235 for Florida A&M. An incredibly balanced offensive attack saw the Sooners gain over 300 yards both rushing and passing, with six different players getting multiple carries in the game.
Damien Williams rushed for 156 yards on ten carries, scoring four times in the game including an 89-yard touchdown scramble in the third quarter while Dominique Whaley put up 63 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries.
Landry Jones was 19-of-28 for 252 yards and two touchdowns and one interception.
The Sooners will take on Kansas State in two weeks, on Sept. 22.
