Super Bowl 2013: Kickoff time, TV schedule for Ravens vs. 49ers

Scott Halleran

The Super Bowl is finally here for the Ravens, Niners and fans.

Super Bowl XLVII is upon us, with the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers getting ready to square off.

San Francisco comes into the game as slight 3.5 point favorites after dispatching the Green Bay Packers and Atlanta Falcons in the NFC playoffs. The 49ers actually trailed Atlanta 17-0 before storming back to claim victory in the Georgia Dome and their first Super Bowl appearance since 1994.

The 49ers are led by a ferocious defense, spearheaded by Patrick Willis, NaVorro Bowman, Aldon Smith and Justin Smith. San Francisco is very tough to run on, with size on the interior of the defense and speed on the edges.

Baltimore on the other hand had to play three postseason games to get to New Orleans.

The Ravens were able to beat Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts at home before handling Peyton Manning'd Denver Broncos and Tom Brady's New England Patriots.

Outside of Ray Lewis and his comeback, the main story has been Joe Flacco, who is coming of age. Flacco has thrown eight touchdowns in the playoffs compared to zero interceptions.
