A pair of field goals is all the offense so far in this battle between the Chiefs and Ravens at Arrowhead Stadium.

It's been a war of attrition in the first half between the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens, who find themselves tied, 3-3, after two quarters of play at Arrowhead Stadium.

Neither offense could muster more than a field goal after Justin Tucker was set up to hit a 28-yard shot toward the end of the first quarter after a Matt Cassel fumble. Kansas City's Ryan Succop put the lone points on the board for the Chiefs after a 13-play, 53-yard drive ended in a 30-yard field goal in second quarter. That's been it for offense.

Matt Cassel has had a first half to forget after losing a fumble, throwing an interception and going 5-for-7 for 37 yards. Jamaal Charles is having a great day so far, though, carrying the ball 20 times for 125 yards in the first half alone, while Shaun Draughn has 10 carries for 36 yards.

As for the Ravens, Joe Flacco couldn't get much going either, finishing the half 7-for-17 for 64 yards with no touchdowns and no interceptions. Ray Rice has seven carries for 52 yards so far on Sunday.

After a series of punts, a Matt Cassel fumble led to an early lead for the Ravens.

After a quarter of play between the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens, John Harbaugh's squad owns the early 3-0 lead Arrowhead Stadium with both defenses showing their teeth early on in this match up.

Kansas City went three-and-out in their first possession of the game, while Baltimore didn't fare much better with a punt on their first drive as well. Both teams would punt on their subsequent possessions, though Matt Cassel would fumble on the Chiefs next drive. That set the Ravens up for the lone points of the quarter with 6-play 32-yard drive capped off by a 28-yard field goal from kicker Justin Tucker to make it 3-0 Baltimore.

Through one quarter Cassel is 2-2 for 12 yards through the air, while Jamaal Charles already has 10 carries for 82 yards on the game.

Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco is 3-7 for 14 yards so far, while Ray Rice has 49 yards on just five carries today.

After a tightly fought first half between the Kansas State Wildcats and the George Washington Colonials at Fred Bramlage Coliseum Thursday night, K-State extended their lead early in the second half for good, eventually dropping G.W. by the score of 69-56 to remain undefeated on the year thus far.

Freshman Thomas Gipson led all scorers with 17 on the night, as well as 13 boards on his way to an impressive double-double, finishing 6-11 from the floor and 5-7 from the stripe. Sophomore Will Spradling added 14 and four boards, while senior Jamar Samuels finished with a double-double as well with 10 points and 10 rebounds. As a whole the Wildcats shot a meager 37% from the floor, though they out rebounded the Colonials by a margin of +14, including some staunch defense throughout the night.

Senior guard Tony Taylor was the only player for George Washington in double figures, finishing with 14 points and four assists on the night. As a team G.W. shot only 31% from the floor, and a disheartening 11-21 from the line, a large factor in their loss this evening.

K-State now must turn their attention to a meeting with the Virginia Tech Hokies on Sunday in Blacksburg, with tip-off scheduled for 5:30 p.m. ET.
