KU recruit Roddy Peters has scheduled a visit to Lawrence for Oct. 19.

Roddy Peters is the No. 9 point guard in the class of 2013, according to Rivals.com, and he will be visiting Kansas on Oct. 19, according to Adam Zagoria. Peters will also be visiting UCLA, though his visit to Los Angeles this past weekend was cancelled.

Kansas coach Bill Self has been pursuing the 6'4 Peters for some time, and still wants to sign Peters to his 2013 class despite signing three-star point guard Frank Mason on Monday. Peters's other suitors, besides UCLA, are generally listed as Rutgers, Georgetown, Maryland and Xavier. Peters has visited both Rutgers and Xavier. He plays high school basketball for Suitland (Md.) and AAU ball for DC Assault.

Bill Self was also in the running for elite point guards Demetrius Jackson and Cat Barber before they both decided to stay closer to home. Jackson, from Indiana, picked Notre Dame and Barber, from North Carolina, decided to go to North Carolina State.
