The Kansas City Chiefs were preparing to face S DaJuan Morgan with the Indianapolis Colts this week.
Morgan was cut by the Chiefs in the first week of September so they were familiar with him. Plus, the Colts were down to their third strong safety so you thought Morgan would actually see a lot of time.
Wrong.
According to Mac's Football Blog, Morgan was released by the Chiefs and his roster spot was replaced with a linebacker.
That's quite the surprise considering as late as Friday Colts coach Jim Caldwell suggested Morgan would have a significant role at safety.

can you say "Used and Abused?"
I guess they thought they saw something we missed (by letting him go) and then realized that he was we thought he was (my crude Dennis Green sound bite inclusion)! Maybe they were just trying to get our play calls out of him until they realized that he didnt know any,
Success is when preparation meets opportunity!
