The details of the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers trade have started to trickle out.
Stephen Holder of the St. Petersburg Times reports that the Chiefs sent the Bucs a sixth round pick and DE Alex Magee in exchange for the Bucs fifth round pick.
Basically the Chiefs moved up a round in the draft.
I think that's a clear indication of the Chiefs admitting a mistake with Magee. He was a third round pick in 2009 but rarely saw the field in Kansas City.
On the one hand, that's a big miss by GM Scott Pioli. On the other hand, it's important for the Chiefs moving forward for him admit a mistake.

The Kansas City Chiefs draft class hasn't looked very sharp in the year and five games they've been in the NFL. There wasn't much of an impact from that class especially when you compare it to the great 2010 draft class. (In fairness, the rest of the 2009 draft class doesn't look very good either)
Here's a look at the Chiefs 2009 draft class. The strike through means that player is off the team.
1. DE Tyson Jackson: Likely a starter when he returns from injury.
3. DE Alex Magee
4. S Donald Washington: He's changed positions.
5. G Colin Brown
6. WR Quinten Lawrence: He's on the practice squad.
7. RB Javarris Williams
7. TE Jake O'Connell: He's not much of a factor on game day.
7. K Ryan Succop: He's the kicker of the future.

The Kansas City Chiefs trade made a trade!
Within a half hour of the end of the NFL trade deadline, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Chiefs traded DE Alex Magee to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The exact compensation isn't known but Schefter reports the two sides exchanged 2011 draft picks.
The Chiefs drafted Magee in the third round of the 2009 draft. He's been disappointing and didn't see the field very often.
