The Kansas City Chiefs aren't completely dead -- but they're close. The Denver Broncos had this game wrapped up when they went up 35-0 but the Chiefs have put up some points on offense to make this less of a blowout. Yeah, I'm trying to rationalize 49-23.
The Chiefs drove 83 yards in 15 plays culminating in a Matt Cassel TD pass to Chris Chambers. The Chiefs failed on the two-point conversion and midway through the fourth quarter the Broncos lead, 49-23.
Dwayne Bowe's having a career day with 11 catches for 164 yards and a TD. Unfortunately, all of Denver is having a career day, or so it seems.
If you want a positive spin on things, since 4:20 left in the second quarter, the Chiefs have outscored the Broncos 23-14. Of course, the Broncos were up 35-0 before that.
The Chiefs are down big against the Broncos, 49-23.
