The Kansas City Chiefs signed Brandon Siler in the off-season to help out the interior linebacker position and provide some competition for Jovan Belcher. Instead, the free agent signee went out for the season in the last preseason game and the Chiefs are likely still going to be looking for some additional linebacker help despite the presence of promising rookie Justin Houston and stars like Derrick Johnson and Tamba Hali. That's why NFL Mocks has the Chiefs possibly going with Luke Kuechly to help out with their upcoming first round pick.
Jesse Bartolis writes, "Kuechly just seems like a Chiefs kind of player. The Chiefs need someone opposite Hali (is Justin Houston that player), but they could also use an upgrade next to Derrick Johnson. If the Chiefs can grab Kuechly and maybe hope Dontari Poe makes it to them in the second round they could have a really nice front seven next year to go along with their talented secondary."
