NFL Power Rankings: Kansas City Chiefs down to No. 29

Denny Medley-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

The Kansas City Chiefs are near the bottom of the league in SB Nation's Week 5 Power Rankings

So much for any momentum from coming back to beat the New Orleans Saints in Week 3. The Chiefs were drilled at home by the San Diego Chargers, 37-20, in Week 4. As a result, they dropped four spots to No. 29 in this week's SB Nation NFL Power Rankings.

In fact, the Chiefs looked so bad that NFL editor Joel Thorman ranked the Chiefs a spot behind those same winless Saints the Chiefs beat just two weekends ago:

"Yes, the Chiefs beat the Saints so they should be ahead of them, but Kansas City has looked so miserable in its three other games, all blowout losses. The Chiefs apparently like to lose in style."

CBS Sports' Pete Prisco put the Chiefs at No. 25 and ESPN put them at No. 27.

Things likely won't get easier for the Chiefs in Week 5 when they host the Baltimore Ravens, who are No. 3 in the SB Nation rankings.
