Week 8 NFL picks: Raiders picked by most to beat Chiefs

Kim Klement-US PRESSWIRE

Most NFL experts are picking the Raiders to beat the Chiefs at Arrowhead on Sunday.

The Oakland Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs renew their decades-old rivalry on Sunday in a showdown of two teams looking to climb out of the dregs of a still-winnable AFC West.

The Chiefs will go with former first-round pick Brady Quinn at quarterback over Matt Cassell. Quinn started for Cassell two weeks ago while Cassell was injured, but head coach Romeo Crennel picked Quinn over an active Cassell this week in hopes of sparking a team off from a 1-5 start. The Raiders, who have won their last five games at Arrowhead, are seeking their first road win of the season.

CBS Sports' eight-expert panel unanimously selected Oakland to pull off the win on the road, thus all eight also liked Oakland to cover the 1.5 points Kansas City is favored by.

ESPN's expert panel wasn't much kinder to the Chiefs. Only Chris Mortensen, Adam Schefter and Mike Ditka picked the Chiefs to win on the Worldwide Leader's 12-man panel.

The Chiefs did find some love at Yahoo!, however. All three NFL experts on their picks panel -- Mike Silver, Jason Cole and Les Carpenter -- picked the Chiefs to win, though a poll of Yahoo! users went with the Raiders.

Sunday's game kicks off at 3:05 p.m. CT and will be televised by CBS.
