Matt Cassel reinstated as the starter as Kansas City looks to avenge a Week 4 loss

Looking to avenge a Week 4 defeat, the Kansas City Chiefs head to Qualcomm to face AFC West rival San Diego. The Chargers 37-20 win in Kansas City started a four-game losing streak for the Chiefs, which they look to break in this Thursday night affair.

The Chiefs will have the same new old quarterback starting the game, with Matt Cassel starting in place of the injured Brady Quinn, who is out with a concussion. Cassel was benched in favor of Quinn on October 22, but it didn't take long for the eight-year veteran to be thrown back into the mix.

Cassel is 2-6 in his career against San Diego, though one of those victories came in Week 8 of last season. The Chiefs quarterback has eight touchdowns and twelve interceptions in those eight games.

The 1-6 Chiefs have yet to lead a game in regulation, with their only win coming against the Saints in overtime. They are the first team since the 1940 Philadelphia Eagles to not lead in regulation through seven games, but the Eagles failed to win any games in that stretch.
