Rookie guard Jeff Allen was the first to get knocked out of the game, suffering what appeared to be a head injury in the first half. He did not return and the injury was speculated to be a possible concussion after he left the field.
Glenn Dorsey was removed from the game as well after he apparently suffered more damage to the injured calf that had already sidelined him for several weeks earlier in the season. Going down near the end of the second quarter, he grabbed his calf on a play and required the help of the medical staff to get off the field.
The most high-profile injury that the Chiefs suffered was to their star running back, Jamaal Charles.
Charles suffered a neck injury on a helmet-to-helmet hit in the fourth quarter and was listed as "questionable" to return to the game. He, like the other two injured players, did not see the field again during the 31-13 loss.
