The Chiefs had shown interest in Winston and were working to secure a visit from the free agent lineman. The Chiefs are looking for a new right tackle to replace Barry Richardson who manned the position but struggled during the 2011 season. Winston would be a major upgrade at the position and was cut due to the salary cap problems that the Houston Texans were facing.
Winston is a 6-foot-7, 302 pound mammoth at the tackle position. He is 28 years old and a six-year NFL veteran out of the University of Miami.
