2012 NFL Free Agency: LeRon McClain To Chargers On 3-Year Deal

Stay connected for news and updates

LeRon McClain and the San Diego Chargers have come to an agreement on Wednesday evening as the former Kansas City Chiefs signed a 3-year deal with the Chargers.

The Chiefs have already signed Peyton Hillis to a one-year deal earlier on Wednesday and Pro Bowl runningback Jamaal Charles is still recovering from his torn ACL in the preseason last year. The position is a bit flooded now and there's only one football that can be carried.

With McClain gone, he should look to split carries with the fullback on certain plays along with being a complementary back to Ryan Mathews and Mike Tolbert for the 2012 season.
